And there are camps where you sleep under the stars of the <strong>Sierra de Gredos<\/strong>, to the sound of the <strong>R\u00edo Tormes<\/strong>. The <strong>Navarredonda Camp<\/strong> \u2014 known as the <strong>Aula de la Naturaleza Navarredonda de Gredos (\u00c1vila)<\/strong> \u2014 is the latter: thirteen days under canvas, swims at the <strong>Pozo de las Paredes<\/strong>, climbing and bivouac nights that fill their places every summer at remarkable speed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Arriving at the Aula de la Naturaleza<\/h2>\n<p>The coach departs from Madrid in the morning and, around midday, heads up the road to Navarredonda de Gredos. The facility is <strong>next to the Navagredos campsite<\/strong> and forms part of the Aula de la Naturaleza, a municipal infrastructure designed specifically for residential camps. You get off the coach, the tents are handed out, and camp begins. Participants are aged <strong>7 to 17<\/strong>, organised into age groups with a maximum of 40 to 50 participants and a ratio of one activity leader to every eight.<\/p>\n<h2>A Day in Navarredonda<\/h2>\n<p>The camp lasts <strong>13 days<\/strong> and, though no two days are the same, each one shares a common rhythm of technical activity, river swimming and long evenings stretching to the last laugh.<\/p>\n<div class=\"natu-steps\">\n<div class=\"step\">\n<p><strong>Waking up under canvas:<\/strong> the sun enters the 3\u20134 person tents early. Wash up in the shower block, breakfast in the covered dining room and team meeting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<p><strong>Morning technical activity:<\/strong> climbing at the nearby climbing wall, archery, ropes garden or mountain hike in the Sierra de Gredos. Each group rotates through the multi-adventure disciplines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<p><strong>Midday:<\/strong> home-cooked food from the camp&#8217;s own kitchen (four meals a day) in the covered dining room and rest in the shade.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<p><strong>Afternoon water and play session:<\/strong> swimming in the natural pools of the <strong>R\u00edo Tormes<\/strong> and at the <strong>Pozo de las Paredes<\/strong>, horse riding, zip line, Humor Amarillo or gymkhanas around the site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<p><strong>Evening activity:<\/strong> after dinner, a themed party or activity. On <strong>Day 9<\/strong> the plan changes: a night hike and overnight stay at the Navagredos campsite \u2014 one of the most memorable experiences of the camp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>What Makes Navarredonda Unique<\/h2>\n<div class=\"natu-cards\">\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>Tents<\/h3>\n<p>3\u20134 person tents, non-mixed, in wooded and well-lit camping areas. The classic camp feeling in its purest form, with the Sierra de Gredos as a backdrop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>R\u00edo Tormes and Pozo de las Paredes<\/h3>\n<p>The natural pools of the R\u00edo Tormes and the swims at the Pozo de las Paredes are the star activity of the summer: cold clean water, mountain scenery and hours of play in the river.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>Bivouac and Night Hike<\/h3>\n<p>On Day 9 of the camp, a night hike takes place followed by an overnight stay at the Navagredos campsite. A different experience within the camp itself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<h3>On-site Medical Room with Beds<\/h3>\n<p>The facility has its own medical room equipped with beds. The village health centre, 24-hour emergency services and the Guardia Civil are all 5 minutes away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Frequently Asked Questions<\/h2>\n<div class=\"natu-faq\">\n<details>\n<summary>Do you really sleep in tents?<\/summary>\n<p>Yes. Accommodation is in 3\u20134 person tents, non-mixed, set up in wooded and well-lit camping areas. The shower block is covered, with individual hot-water showers, and the dining room is also covered.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>What if my child needs medical attention?<\/summary>\n<p>The facility has its own medical room equipped with beds. The village health centre with 24-hour emergency services, and the Guardia Civil, are 5 minutes from the camp.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How long is the camp and what sessions are there?<\/summary>\n<p>13 days per session. There are two sessions: <strong>2\u201314 July (\u20ac598)<\/strong> and <strong>17\u201329 July (\u20ac568)<\/strong>. Places fill quickly, so early booking is recommended.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>How are mobile phones and calls home managed?<\/summary>\n<p>Mobile phones are permitted but collected on arrival and returned for calls home every 3 or 4 days. A camp diary is published on social media and a confirmation SMS is sent on arrival. Recommended pocket money: \u20ac20\u201330.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<details>\n<summary>What is special about Day 9?<\/summary>\n<p>A night hike takes place and participants spend the night at the Navagredos campsite, adjacent to the facility.
