The ratio varies according to the age of the group and the type of activity, always complying with current regulations. At primary school level we typically work with 1 leader per 10-12 pupils; at secondary school level, 1 per 12-15. For groups with special needs we adjust the ratio accordingly.<\/div>\n<\/details>\n
\nDo the activity leaders need to sleep in the same room as the pupils?<\/summary>\n
Not necessarily in the same room, but in the same facilities and with immediate availability. They carry out overnight rounds and can be reached at all times.<\/div>\n<\/details>\n
\nWhat qualifications do the activity leaders hold?<\/summary>\n
All our activity leaders hold the official Leisure and Youth Work qualification, recognised by the relevant regional authority, and have first-aid training. They also hold an up-to-date criminal record check for offences against minors.<\/div>\n<\/details>\n
\nCan teachers delegate fully to the activity leaders?<\/summary>\n
The leaders handle group management, activities and supervision. However, legal responsibility for the group remains with the accompanying teaching staff. In practice, teachers can relax enormously while the leaders manage the day-to-day.<\/div>\n<\/details>\n
