This guide does not list \u00abwhat is on offer\u00bb \u2014 that is on the main camp page \u2014 it goes into <strong>how each activity actually works on the ground<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<h2>The Cluedo Treasure Hunt<\/h2>\n\n<p>This is probably the camp&#8217;s most recognisable activity. A live-action adaptation of the board game: each year a different story is chosen \u2014 a fictional crime, a theft, a disappearance \u2014 and the <strong>activity leaders become the characters<\/strong>. In full costume, they move around the village throughout the whole day, answering questions, dropping clues and staying in character for hours.<\/p>\n\n<p>Participants play in teams. The format is a <strong>clue-based treasure hunt<\/strong>: they decipher riddles placed around Villar&#8217;s streets, squares and hidden corners, and each solved clue brings them closer to being able to interrogate a character. After hours of investigation, a <strong>grand trial<\/strong> takes place with all participants: each team presents its accusation, the activity leaders defend their alibi, and the culprit is revealed. It is a full day of immersive play where the story is literally \u00ablived\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Save the Egg \/ Carlinga<\/h2>\n\n<p>One of the oldest and best-loved activities. The premise is simple and the execution is spectacular: each team must build a <strong>contraption<\/strong> capable of protecting an egg when it is dropped from height. At Villar, the drop is made from a <strong>drone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The challenge unfolds over several hours: participants complete tasks to earn materials with which to protect the egg. The materials are always <strong>recycled<\/strong>, adding a genuinely educational sustainability layer:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"natu-two-col\">\n  <div class=\"col\">\n    <h3>Materials Used<\/h3>\n    <ul>\n      <li>Cardboard packaging<\/li>\n      <li>Milk or juice cartons<\/li>\n      <li>Egg cartons<\/li>\n      <li>Plastic bags<\/li>\n      <li>Cork<\/li>\n      <li>Rope, elastic bands and whatever each team can gather<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n  <\/div>\n  <div class=\"col\">\n    <h3>How the Activity Ends<\/h3>\n    <ul>\n      <li>Each team hands its contraption to an activity leader<\/li>\n      <li>The drone carries it up above the hostel meadow<\/li>\n      <li>It is dropped from height \u2014 the egg falls<\/li>\n      <li>Variation: if the egg survives, it is cracked on a leader&#8217;s head<\/li>\n      <li>If it breaks, it is cracked on the participants&#8217; heads<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h2>Themed Day<\/h2>\n\n<p>Once a year, a full day is dedicated to a themed event: <strong>a different theme each edition<\/strong> \u2014 from Hogwarts to Mario Kart, to give two real examples \u2014 which weaves through all the day&#8217;s activities from breakfast to the evening show. The typical structure:<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"natu-steps\">\n  <div class=\"step\">\n    <p><strong>Morning \u2014 creative workshop:<\/strong> participants make items related to the theme (wands, caps, shields, masks). This is the moment to get into character.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n  <div class=\"step\">\n    <p><strong>Midday \u2014 lunch with surprises:<\/strong> the dining room is decorated, \u00abHogwarts letters\u00bb appear on tables or the menu is renamed with items from the chosen universe.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n  <div class=\"step\">\n    <p><strong>Afternoon \u2014 long game:<\/strong> several hours of themed play, with <strong>activity leaders in costume<\/strong> playing characters and directing the story. Tasks, challenges and a final mission.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n  <div class=\"step\">\n    <p><strong>Evening \u2014 closing show:<\/strong> the day ends with a themed evening event: performance, dancing, sketches and prize-giving. Carefully designed decor and plenty of theatrical effect.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h2>Capture the Flag<\/h2>\n\n<p>A classic that gains by its setting at Villar. The format is familiar \u2014 each team hides its flag and a tag system decides who captures it \u2014 but the <strong>oak and beech forest<\/strong> surrounding the village turns the game into something memorable: rocks, roots, clearings between trees and natural ditches perfect for an ambush. Matches go on longer than planned and the physical tiredness at the end is real.<\/p>\n\n<h2>The Yellow Humour Circuit<\/h2>\n\n<p>A full day dedicated to Natuaventura&#8217;s inflatable and giant-structure circuit. The installation is set up in the hostel meadows, participants are split into teams and <strong>rotate through each attraction<\/strong> throughout the day. Balance challenges, controlled falls, impossible obstacles. Year after year it is one of the most requested and highly rated activities \u2014 by younger and older participants alike.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Beach Olympics<\/h2>\n\n<p>Held at <strong>Somo beach<\/strong> on one of the two coastal days of the camp, alongside the Natuaventura Santander 15-Day Camp. Participants are split into <strong>25 groups<\/strong> that rotate through <strong>15 different games<\/strong> on the sand: relays, skill challenges, team games, strength activities. When the rotations are complete, a <strong>podium ceremony with medal presentation<\/strong> takes place, and the day closes with a swim in the Bay of Biscay at sunset and dinner on the beach.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Surf Course<\/h2>\n\n<p>This is the other coastal day. The course is taught by <strong>a professional surf school<\/strong>, not generalist activity leaders. The beach chosen \u2014 from <strong>Somo, El Sardinero or Liencres<\/strong> \u2014 is decided each year based on the most favourable tidal forecast. Equipment is provided: <strong>board and wetsuit<\/strong>. The day&#8217;s structure: theory class on the sand, division into groups by level (beginners and advanced) and entry into the water accompanied by instructors and activity leaders. While one half of the group rides the waves, the other can stroll through the village, buy ice cream or browse the small local craft shops.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Frequently Asked Questions About the Activities<\/h2>\n\n<div class=\"natu-faq\">\n  <details>\n    <summary>Is there a recommended minimum age for any activity?<\/summary>\n    <p>The camp&#8217;s activities are adapted to the two age bands in the group: younger and older participants. Some activities are done separately (by pace or intensity) and others together. Climbing on the bouldering wall, archery and surfing are always taught with equipment and supervision adapted to each group.<\/p>\n  <\/details>\n  <details>\n    <summary>What if my child does not want to take part in an activity?<\/summary>\n    <p>The activity leader team works on motivation with each participant individually. Participation is never forced, but it is encouraged: often it is enough to change the role within the game (supporting the team, helping a leader, keeping score) for the child to join in. If reluctance persists, alternative parallel activities are offered.<\/p>\n  <\/details>\n  <details>\n    <summary>What is the ratio of activity leaders to participants?<\/summary>\n    <p>We work with a ratio of 1 activity leader per 8 participants, and also reinforce the team with the camp coordinator and support staff. Each camper is assigned a reference activity leader from day one, and the full team lives at the facility throughout the fortnight, attending to participants around the clock.<\/p>\n  <\/details>\n  <details>\n    <summary>Is personal equipment needed for any activity?<\/summary>\n    <p>No. All technical equipment \u2014 harness and ropes for climbing, bows, boards and wetsuits for surfing, materials for treasure hunts and games \u2014 is provided by the organisation or the professional schools contracted. Families only need to prepare the standard camp kit, detailed on the official kit list.<\/p>\n  <\/details>\n  <details>\n    <summary>How is safety guaranteed in technical activities?<\/summary>\n    <p>Climbing, archery, mountain hiking and surfing are always carried out with approved equipment, qualified activity leaders and, in the case of surfing, partner professional schools.
