BARCELONA – Hostel.

This trip has been designed to discover Spanish culture from a playful and educational point of view. With original activities, far away from the typical touristic visits, students will get the best impression of Barcelona, and become accustomed to the main characteristics of the Spanish way of life. As a fully immersive experience, students will be required to draw on the linguistic resources within reach in order to communicate and understand what is happening around them. Above all, this program has been created to explore a wide range of cultural dimensions, such as history, traditions, gastronomy and cinema.

During all the program, the group is accompanied by our fantastic team: the instructors stay with the group throughout the whole trip (24/7), making sure that both students and teachers get the most out of their experience in Barcelona. Each night, instructors will also organise night activities so as to end the day in the most exciting way: contests, films, games…

Shall we begin exploring Barcelona together?

Day 1

Upon your arrival, we will be waiting for you at the Madrid Airport. From there, we will go, in our private bus, to the hostel. After lunch, we will begin discovering the city with a touristic scavenger hunt that will reveal some of the secrets of the capital of Spain. Afterwards, we will go to the hostel, where we will have time to check in and relax a little bit. We will have dinner at a restaurant nearby and later, the instructors will prepare some fun group activities to close the day in style!

Day 2

After waking up, getting ready and having breakfast at the hostel, we will head Joaquín Sorolla’s House Museum. He was one of the most well-known impressionist painters in Spain. We will do a guided visit and afterwards, we will take a stroll along Castellana and Recoletos avenues, up to El Retiro Park.

In the afternoon, we will have time to go for walk around the Park, enjoy the lake and the immense gardens, visit the exhibitions at the Cristal Palace, including some games to dig deeper into its history and get to know every single corner.

Once we have enjoyed every inch of this marvellous place, we will go back to the hostel and, after dinner, the instructors will be waiting for as with another entertaining night activity!

Day 3

Today in the morning we will go to discover a little-known part of Madrid: we will do an Urban Art Tour around the neighbourhood of Lavapiés. A qualified guide will show us the neighbourhood’s incredible collection of graffiti artwork and will explain who the artists are, as well as their motivations, meanings and technics. At lunchtime, we will wander a little bit around the narrow streets and we will have lunch at a restaurant, where we will have the opportunity to taste some of the wonders of Spanish gastronomy.

The plan for the afternoon will be relaxed, but that does not mean it will be boring! We will go to the cinema to watch a Spanish film… do you prefer drama or comedy?

And to finish the day, as usual, our team of instructors will be ready after dinner for a night-time activity, today we will have a TV contest!

Day 4

Before leaving Madrid, we cannot forget visiting the Prado Museum, where we will enjoy an entertaining didactic visit. Afterwards, we will go walking through the Barrio de las Letras up to the district of Sol, where we will have free time to have lunch.

With our batteries recharged, we will go shopping to Gran Vía, where we will have free time to buy some souvenirs or even have an ice–cream in the sun. We will meet again to go all together and admire the sunset from the exotic Debod Temple. Finally, we will go back to the hostel and, after dinner… the instructors have prepared a little surprise!

Day 5

This amazing trip is coming to an end… so, after breakfast, we will have time to pack our things, pick up our packed lunch and head to the airport.
