For the peace of mind of families in case of last-minute unforeseen events, we recommend taking out a cancellation insurance policy. This optional insurance can be taken out to recover the full cost of the trip, or the proportional amount for days not enjoyed, if for any of the reasons listed below — duly certified — the participant has to cancel the trip before it begins or leave during the activity:

1. Death, serious illness or serious bodily injury of the insured person that prevents them from taking part in the activities, or of a first or second-degree family member (parents, siblings or grandparents). When the illness or injury affects one of the above-mentioned persons other than the insured, it is considered serious when it involves hospitalisation or confinement to bed occurring after the insurance was taken out, and a medical prescription is required — in the opinion of a medical professional — within the 12 days prior to the start of the trip.

2. Redundancy of the parents or guardians of the insured person — not the end of an employment contract or failure to complete a probationary period.

3. Geographical relocation of the workplace of the parents or guardians of the insured person, provided it involves a change of the insured’s home address during the planned travel dates and the person is an employee. The transfer must have been notified to the insured after the insurance was taken out.

Amounts to be refunded:

In the event of cancellation or shortening of the trip, Natuaventura will handle the corresponding refund under the previously established conditions. For total cancellation of the trip before departure, the full amount will be refunded with the exception of the cost of the insurance.

For a trip that has already begun but is cut short, the proportional amount for the days not enjoyed will be refunded, minus the cost of the insurance.

Specific exclusions from the trip cancellation guarantee:

1. Any circumstance known to the insured before the insurance was taken out that could reasonably have led to its cancellation.

2. Chronic or pre-existing illnesses of the insured or their family members.

3. Epidemics, pandemics, medical quarantine and pollution, both at the destination and at the participant’s home.

4. War, declared or not, riots, civil unrest, acts of terrorism.

5. Expulsion of the participant once the trip has begun due to non-compliance with the general regulations.
