1. Multi-Adventure & Beach Activities

The multi-adventure and beach activities are the star attraction of this summer camp in Villar, Cantabria. The concept of multi-adventure brings children into contact with nature-based pursuits that rarely feature in school curricula and are not typically accessible to young people, either because of their location or the specialist equipment required. At Villar, the programme includes:

2. The Cluedo Gymkhana

This activity is a live-action adaptation of the classic board game Cluedo, played in real life with real characters — portrayed by the activity leaders. Each year brings a brand-new storyline, immersing children in a mystery they must solve: who is the culprit, and how did they commit the crime?

The game unfolds as a clue-trail gymkhana. Campers split into teams and set off around the village, deciphering riddles and solving puzzles. Once a team has gathered enough clues, they interrogate the activity leaders one by one and, if their reasoning holds up, formally accuse the guilty party. The day ends with a dramatic trial scene — and the big reveal.

3. The Themed Day

A full themed day is a beloved tradition at summer camps, with a completely different theme chosen each year. From morning until night, every activity follows that theme — with activity leaders dressed and in character throughout.

At the Villar Multi-Adventure & Beach Camp, the themed day typically includes a crafts workshop, followed by an afternoon game lasting several hours with a performance by the activity leaders team, and finally a themed evening to close the day in style.

4. Save the Egg Challenge

One of the oldest and most cherished activities in the summer camp world. The aim is to complete a series of challenges to earn materials for constructing a protective contraption around an egg. That contraption is then dropped from a height — and the egg must survive the fall intact.

Campers compete in teams, winning recycled materials — cardboard, cartons, egg boxes, plastic bags, cork — to cushion the egg on impact. In doing so they unleash their creativity whilst learning about sustainable play and the value of reusing resources.

5. Capture the Flag

The classic game of Capture the Flag is timeless — and no summer camp programme is complete without it. The concept couldn’t be simpler: each team hides their flag and must find the opponent’s flag whilst chasing and tagging rivals. The woodland surroundings of the Cantabrian village make it an ideal location for this kind of wide-ranging game.

6. The Yellow Humour Circuit

Natuaventura sets up a circuit packed with giant inflatables and enormous structures for a full day of high-energy fun. Children are split into teams and rotate around each attraction in turn.
