The Organisation of the Multiadventure Nature Summer Camp: Navarredonda
The camp is conducted in Spanish and is divided into two sessions. The first runs from 2 to 14 July and the second from 17 to 29 July. Boys and girls from all over Spain take part, aged between 7 and 17 years old.
It has a capacity of 120 campers, who are typically divided into three age groups: young ones, middles and older ones; with one monitor for every 8 participants. For ages that fall on the boundary between groups, participants are allocated according to their preferences or which friends they wish to be with. In the tents we divide again to sleep with participants of a similar age, with boys and girls separately.
This division is always approximate, taking into account the actual age distribution of participants each year. The aim is to foster a group of participants that is as homogeneous as possible in terms of age, so that the programme can be best tailored to the characteristics of each subgroup.
Several activities are also organised in which all subgroups participate at the same time. This encourages a sense of unity among participants and monitors — the feeling that everyone is one genuine family.
These groups are:
LITTLE ONES // 7–10 YEARS
- We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor per 8 campers.
- Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain a close and constant relationship with their campers.
- As well as having fun, we will learn to be more independent in everyday tasks such as organising our belongings, choosing our clothes, washing, etc.
- The monitors for the little ones will help the children from the moment they get up until they go to bed, throughout all the day’s activities, whilst always leaving room for them to learn and take the initiative themselves.
MIDDLES // 11–13 YEARS
- We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor per 8 campers.
- Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain a close and constant relationship with their campers.
- They are already more independent campers but we will continue to help them each day. Games are adapted to suit the age of the participants.
OLDER ONES // 14–17 YEARS
- We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor per 8 campers.
- Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain a close and constant relationship with their campers, but giving them more space.
- Games and activities designed so that they continue to enjoy the camp as much as anyone. They will have more space, independence and time to spend with their friends. They will also help to organise some activities for themselves and for the other groups.

In the lead-up to camp, the coordinators and monitors organise the day-to-day schedule. However, the programme may change due to external factors such as the weather or possible adjustments decided on the spot that need to be accommodated.
TYPICAL DAILY PROGRAMME AT THE CAMP
Throughout these thirteen days the boys and girls attending the Navarredonda summer camp enjoy a programme packed with activities. This programme is designed months before the camp begins, with particular attention paid to the combination of activities and the educational and recreational objectives set by the camp’s coordination team.
Through sporting games, workshops, excursions, precision and intelligence games, creativity games, multiadventure, free time, swimming in pools and natural rock pools, etc., we manage to create a balance and cover all the playful ways of learning while catering to all the tastes of the campers.
During these camp days, activities held at the venue itself alternate with those carried out elsewhere (such as excursions or multiadventure activities). In this way a fundamental balance is maintained so that each day at camp is full of excitement and brings a new experience at every moment.

The Camp Facilities: Aula de la Naturaleza
The camp is located in the village of Navarredonda de Gredos. It uses a facility belonging to the local council called the Aula de la Naturaleza (Nature Classroom).
One of the main reasons why Navarredonda is one of the best summer camps is because the experience it offers is inherently tied to nature.
This is made possible by the location of the camp itself, and also by the working philosophy upon which its programme and operation are built. The organisation of Navarredonda as a summer camp is centred on care and respect for nature.
If you would like to know more about its facilities, amenities and how it works in tents, we explain everything in detail in this article: Navarredonda Multiadventure Camp Facilities: Aula de la Naturaleza

How to Prepare for a Multiadventure Camp in the Heart of Nature
Preparing for an adventure camp in the mountains and countryside involves both the right equipment and the right mindset.
In terms of kit and equipment, it is essential to bring:
- Food for the journey there.
- A soft-sided case, sports bag or large rucksack for your luggage.
- A rucksack for excursions. 40 litres is recommended. Bigger is fine too.
- A winter sleeping bag (recommended temperature rating of 5°C and an insulating mat for the ground).
- A varied selection of clean, comfortable clothing for 13 days.
- A cap and sun cream.
- A waterproof cagoule or coat.
- A shower towel.
- A swimming towel.
- A wash bag with shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc.
- 2 pairs of trainers or lightweight boots.
- Flip-flops and/or water shoes.
- A water bottle.
- A torch and batteries.
- A camping plate, cutlery, cup and a cloth for drying dishes.
- Bags for storing dirty clothes.
- Health insurance card.
Mentally, come ready to learn, work as a team and face challenges without prejudice and with a positive attitude. Remember that the adventure is as much about enjoying nature as it is about personal growth.
Proper preparation ensures a safe and enriching experience. Pushing yourself beyond your limits always makes the whole experience unforgettable and deeply rewarding.
Not to mention that the safety and wellbeing of every camper are our main priorities at our camps. We have highly qualified staff and strict safety protocols to ensure that every adventure is both safe and enjoyable.
In addition, our team of professional monitors is available 24 hours a day to attend to any need or concern, ensuring that every participant has a positive and enriching experience.

How Does Navarredonda Differ from Other Camps?
Our approach focuses on offering campers something more than simple accommodation and a way to pass the time. We integrate them into an environment where every detail is carefully planned for their enjoyment and development.
From the personalised attention of our monitors to the organisation of innovative activities, what sets Navarredonda apart is the family atmosphere and sense of trust we create — one in which material things fade into the background, achieving the goal of appreciating the small things and making every summer unforgettable for our young adventurers.
Some of our monitors have shared their thoughts on why they believe the Navarredonda camp is so special:
It is one of the few camps that is truly classic (no technology or modern gadgets), like camps of the old days — a tent in the middle of a forest, animals and creatures everywhere, excursions to rivers and natural pools, hot during the day and cold at night…
On top of that, compared to other camps it is more affordable, close to Madrid (barely 2 hours from the centre) and a team of monitors and coordinators that keep participants coming back! Nothing to envy from a higher-budget camp.
The real contact with nature, the enormous contrast with city life, has always made it special. They manage to disconnect from their routine in a completely different way, allowing them to connect with and build bonds with new friends. Their free time is spent in open, natural spaces and that creates a great sense of connection… in the end the feeling is one of unity and family.
For me, it is a bubble where nothing else exists but our own reality… It would be something like… a camp entirely in nature where life happens amongst trees, branches and pine cones.
From the very beginning, this camp seeks the wellbeing and happiness of all its participants, which is why we always make space for them to contribute their ideas and express their feelings. We also want them to feel at home, which is why we are always ready to help them and look after them, as well as ensuring they enjoy the most original and best games possible, created by the monitors.
We are completely surrounded by nature, we sleep in tents and go on excursions to natural pools and the ropes park. In Navarredonda you learn to coexist and respect other people, the environment and the facilities — all while making new friends and enjoying very different activities every day.
