Improve Your English at Summer Camp: Language Immersion or Classes

Summer camps offer students the perfect opportunity to improve their English skills. Whether through total immersion or structured classes, the choice between the two can make a real difference to language development.

In recent years, language immersion camps have grown remarkably in popularity — summer camps much like any other, but with a highly appealing extra for families: all activities are carried out entirely in English.

Summer Camps with English Classes

Camps with English classes include those classes as part of their activity schedule. The first day begins with a level assessment test, so that the lessons are pitched correctly for each participant’s level of English. Outside of the classroom, all other activities and daily camp life take place in Spanish.

The key strength of these camps — in terms of learning — is that the classes are a specific, dedicated time for English, so the focus is clear and tangible.

Summer Camps with Total Language Immersion

Being fully immersed in an English-speaking environment is a unique experience. The constant exposure to the language improves listening comprehension and the ability to communicate naturally. All interaction with activity leaders — both during activities and in free time — takes place in English.

It is important that campers at this type of camp have a minimum level of English comprehension, as without this, they may struggle to follow instructions from the activity leaders.

Our English Camps

Our English-language camps are full language immersion camps — conducted entirely in English, 24 hours a day, without any formal classroom lessons. We run an English camp in Madrid and a language immersion camp in the Sierra de Gredos (Navatormes).
