English Summer Camps at Natuaventura: Sierra Madrid and Navatormes

If you want your child to keep practising English over the summer without it feeling like a chore, a language immersion camp is the most effective formula: language, nature, sport and community life all at once. At Natuaventura we have two of our own English camps — Sierra Madrid English Camp and Navatormes English Camp — and here we explain how they work.

Why an English Summer Camp Works

The goal of a summer camp in English is clear: to ensure children keep practising the language during the holidays. But the difference from a language school course is enormous. At camp, English stops being a subject and becomes the medium for playing, eating, talking to friends and solving challenges. The 100% immersion accelerates learning without it feeling like effort.

How 100% Immersion Works

100% immersion means exactly that: the whole day happens in English, from breakfast to the evening programme. It is not an English class inside a camp; it is a camp where the language is English. Activity leaders hold C1 qualifications or above — many are native speakers or bilingual — and all activities are designed so that participants interact in the language without any academic pressure.

How to Choose Between Sierra Madrid and Navatormes

Sierra Madrid English Camp is the ideal choice if you want more available turns, an age from 6 and the combination of Parque Warner and natural pools. Navatormes is a better fit if you are drawn to tipi accommodation and a more mountain-oriented setting, with the River Tormes nearby and the Gredos experience. Both offer genuine 100% immersion and share the same methodology.

Frequently Asked Questions About Natuaventura’s English Camps

What level of English does my child need to enrol?

No minimum certified level is required. Groups are organised by age and activity leaders adapt activities so that each participant progresses from their starting point. Immersion works very well even for children with a basic level of English.

What qualifications do the activity leaders have?

All activity leaders at the English camps hold C1 level or above, and many are bilingual or native speakers. They also hold the official leisure and recreation qualification.

What is the difference between Sierra Madrid and Navatormes?

Sierra Madrid is in Manjirón (Madrid), has three turns and cabin accommodation. Navatormes is in Ávila, has one turn and outdoor tipi accommodation. The methodology and ratio are the same.

Do they have their mobiles during camp?

Mobiles are permitted but collected on arrival and returned every 3–4 days for calls home. This encourages community life and English immersion.

How many activity leaders are there per participant?

The ratio is 1 activity leader for every 8 participants, with maximum groups of 40 to 50 people, divided by age.
