Adventure and Nature at the Multiadventure Summer Camp in Gredos
The word «camp» derives from the act of spending time in the countryside with a particular purpose. From that same root comes the verb «to camp», which refers specifically to spending the night outdoors. From its very origins, camping has been linked to enjoying nature and fully immersing oneself in it.
The first camps were held in tents, which — far from being outdated — remain one of the most popular summer camp options chosen by families. For this reason, at Natuaventura we explore the natural beauty and exciting outdoor activities of the Multiadventure Summer Camp in Gredos, offering an unforgettable experience for young adventurers.
Situated in the heart of Gredos, famous for its mountain range, this camp is a unique opportunity for children and teenagers to immerse themselves in a world of adventure, learning and fun. From hiking to climbing, every day in Gredos is an adventure waiting to be lived.

The Organisation of the Gredos Summer Camp
The camp runs in Spanish and takes place twice each summer: from 2 to 14 July and from 17 to 29 July. Ninety boys and girls from all over Spain take part, aged between 7 and 16 years old.
To ensure activities run smoothly and that camp life goes well, the group is divided into two age groups: juniors, typically aged 7 to 12, and seniors, aged 13 to 16. This division may vary depending on the overall age distribution each year.
JUNIORS // 7–12 YEARS
- We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor for every 8 campers.
- Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain close and constant contact with their campers.
- As well as having fun, we will learn to be more independent in our daily tasks — such as organising our belongings, choosing our clothes, keeping ourselves clean, and so on.
SENIORS // 13–16 YEARS
- We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor for every 8 campers.
- Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain close and constant contact with their campers, while allowing them more space.
- Games and activities designed so that they continue to enjoy the camp to the fullest — but with more space and time to spend with friends.

The Camp Facilities: Hoyos del Collado
We stay at the municipal campsite of Hoyos del Collado, set in the heart of nature, where we enjoy incredible multiadventure and sporting activities.
The municipal facility at Hoyos del Collado — built specifically to host summer camps — serves as our home during the camp. It is located just 2 minutes from the village centre.
The facility has amenities and comforts that make our stay there very pleasant. We have wooded and illuminated camping areas, separate male and female toilets with individual showers, a covered dining room with capacity for 100 people, home-cooked meals, equipment storage, and more.
Located in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, it also offers an incomparable setting for our activities in the natural environment, with natural swimming pools, a river with a bathing area, and extensive green spaces.
In addition, we complement the facilities with everything needed for the best camp experience, including a first-aid kit, support vehicles, sports and recreational equipment, emergency phones and organisation phones so campers can call home, and much more.

The Adventures and Multiadventure Activities Awaiting You in Gredos
The multiadventure summer camp in Gredos that we organise combines this vision of immersion in nature with one of the most comprehensive activity programmes we offer.
A genuine adventure in nature, with exciting activities such as mountain hikes, bivouacking, a rope park, Humor Amarillo, river and natural pool swimming, and much more.
NATURAL SWIMMING POOLS
One of the most fun and special activities to cool off in the Sierra de Gredos is taking a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pools.

HORSE RIDING
An activity to enjoy nature in a different and truly special way. Horse riding allows us to connect with the animal world and learn new values.

ROPE PARK
We head out on an excursion to practise archery and to the «Pinos Cimeros» rope park amongst the trees, where we will put our skills to the test on zip wires, parallel ropes, and more.

HUMOR AMARILLO
A host of mini-games in the style of the legendary TV show. An activity to develop agility and coordination, and to have fun with our new friends.

MOUNTAIN HIKES
The Sierra de Gredos offers us incredible forest and mountain scenery, with magical places that we will explore on our excursions.

CAMPING OUT
On some of our excursions we will also set up camp, to familiarise ourselves with the various skills that will allow us to live in nature.

WORKSHOPS
As well as having fun, we will put our creative skills to use through the various workshops we do each day. Natuaventura’s workshops are also tailored for different age groups.
One activity that has been a hit at our Gredos camp for years is Masterchef — a cooking competition in which campers complete mini-games to earn as many coins as possible to buy ingredients. In 2023 we made homemade pizzas, which were baked and then served for dinner. It was a huge success!

GAMES AND GYMKHANAS
Every day we can enjoy a host of games and activities that foster skills such as teamwork, camaraderie and respect — but above all, they are just enormous fun.
We combine gymkhana days with survival games, skill challenges, and even classic games, always giving them a fresh twist to make them more inclusive and well-rounded.
One way to make days more dynamic — and it never fails — is to give them a theme. Monitors and even campers dress up to live the activities to the fullest.

PARTIES AND EVENING EVENTS
Before heading to bed we bid farewell to each day with a host of activities under the stars, burning off whatever energy we still have left at the end of the day.

TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE AT THE CAMP
Before the camp begins, the coordinators and monitors plan the day-to-day programme. However, the schedule may change due to external factors such as weather conditions or decisions made on the spot.

How to Prepare for a Multiadventure and Mountain Summer Camp
Preparing for an adventure camp in the middle of the mountains involves both the right equipment and the right mindset.
In terms of kit and equipment, it is essential to bring:
- Food for the journey.
- A soft-sided suitcase, sports bag, or large rucksack for your luggage.
- A rucksack for excursions. 40 litres is recommended. Larger is fine too.
- A winter sleeping bag (recommended temperature rating of 5°C) and an insulating sleeping mat.
- A variety of comfortable clothing.
- A cap and sun cream.
- A waterproof cagoule or jacket.
- A shower towel.
- A swimming towel.
- A wash bag with shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc.
- 2 pairs of trainers or lightweight boots.
- Flip-flops and/or water shoes.
- A water bottle.
- A torch and batteries.
- A plate, cutlery, camping cup and a cloth for drying dishes.
- Bags for storing dirty laundry.
- Health insurance card.
Mentally, come ready to learn, work as a team, and face challenges without prejudice and with a positive attitude. Remember that the adventure is as much about enjoying nature as it is about personal growth.
Proper preparation ensures a safe and enriching experience. Pushing yourself beyond your limits always makes the whole experience an unforgettable and deeply rewarding one.

What Makes Gredos Different from Other Camps?
Gredos is a camp where you can disconnect from the frenetic pace of city life — an opportunity to set aside all the technology we use every day and reconnect with nature and put our values into practice.
It differs from other camps in that we actively encourage the autonomy of campers in every sense: we all wash our own plates after meals, do our own laundry, and take turns cleaning the facilities we use (the dining room and bathrooms) so that everyone can enjoy and contribute equally.
Furthermore, virtually all our activities are devised from scratch by the monitors, with the aim of fostering imagination and camaraderie in a natural setting.
In the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, parents and young adventurers alike have found a second home at our multiadventure and mountain summer camp:
I have been going to the second fortnight at Gredos for 5 years, and every year I come back happier and more eager to return.
INÉS CEPEDA
I went to a Natuaventura camp in Gredos and it was brilliant. The activities, the people, the monitors — they really got to me and left a huge mark on me. I have been to many camps, and this one was without doubt the best of all. An unforgettable experience.
LAURA CHAMINADE
A million thanks to all the monitors, coordinators and other staff who make it possible for our children to live unforgettable days in Gredos. You have been like parents and siblings to them. My son has been back and is already looking forward to returning next year. What he experienced there has enriched him enormously.
Thank you so much for everything.CRISTINA VICENTE GÓMEZ
Thank you for that first-fortnight camp at Hoyos del Collado. My son is delighted. We will be back next year.
JAVI CARMONA
We are absolutely delighted with the Gredos Camp. My son has been back and will without doubt return the following year. They stay in the countryside in tents and I think it is a very enriching experience for them, as they are in real contact with nature. Very happy with the organisation and the monitors — a 10 out of 10.
CELIA ARENAS
Our little ones have been enjoying the Gredos camp for several years now. The attention is fantastic, both with the children and the adults — there are loads of activities, the facilities are well maintained… And very importantly, it is an opportunity to have an experience in contact with nature, with the peace of mind of knowing that the children are in the care of professional, responsible, and very caring people. We will undoubtedly keep coming back — we have never had any problems.
