Multiadventure Activities at the Gredos Camp

The multiadventure and mountain activities are the essence of the Gredos camp. Here, young people can immerse themselves in a variety of challenges, from climbing and zip wires to orienteering and survival. These activities are not only exciting, but also foster skills such as teamwork and problem-solving.

It is worth emphasising that safety is a priority, and every activity is supervised by trained professionals, ensuring that fun always goes hand in hand with care and protection.

Furthermore, these multiadventure activities are designed to adapt to different skill levels, ensuring that every camper, regardless of their previous experience, can enjoy and learn. This inclusive approach allows all participants to push their limits, build confidence and take away unforgettable memories of their achievements.

Among these activities, the following stand out:

ROPES COURSE AND ARCHERY

A route is carried out to the ropes park «Pinos Cimeros», where we put our skills to the test on zip wires, parallel ropes and more; followed by an archery session.

HORSE RIDING

We go horse riding through the natural landscape surrounding the camp to enjoy nature in a different and truly special way. Horse riding allows us to connect with the animal world and learn new values.

Natural Pools of Gredos

After a day of hiking, what better way to relax than in the natural pools of Gredos? These oases of tranquillity are the perfect place to cool off and enjoy nature in its purest state. Campers can swim, relax and socialise in a serene setting, surrounded by the impressive landscape of the Sierra de Gredos.

Undoubtedly one of the most special outings at our multiadventure and mountain camp is the route to the natural pools of Pozo de las Paredes, a large pool covered by a Roman bridge that takes its name from the optical effect created by the water reflecting off the stone.

These pools are not only places for relaxation, but also open-air classrooms where participants learn about ecology and the environment. Young people discover the importance of preserving natural ecosystems whilst enjoying their crystal-clear and cool waters — an educational and refreshing experience.

Mountain Activities in the Sierra de Gredos and Their Benefits

The Sierra de Gredos is famous for its impressive mountain landscape. Mountain activities such as hiking, routes and climbing offer campers a unique way to connect with nature and challenge themselves. These mountain activities are not only exciting and full of adventure, but also foster an appreciation of the natural environment and respect for the surroundings.

Hiking in particular is a star activity at the camp, offering routes of different difficulty levels that allow campers to explore the beauty and diversity of the Gredos landscape. Young people learn about local flora and fauna, as well as orienteering and mountain survival techniques.

Wherever we can get to on foot, we go on foot. By doing something as simple as walking, friendships are forged, values are built and personal limits are surpassed. There is no better way to live the experience to the full!

Benefits of Mountain Activities

  1. Improved Physical Fitness: Activities such as hiking and climbing improve endurance, strength and flexibility.
  2. Personal Skills Development: They foster self-esteem, perseverance and the ability to overcome challenges.
  3. Connection with Nature: They offer a unique opportunity to appreciate the natural environment and learn about its conservation.
  4. Stress Reduction: Contact with nature and physical activity contribute to reducing levels of stress and anxiety.
  5. Teamwork: Many mountain activities require collaboration, improving social skills and teamwork.
  6. Increased Environmental Awareness: Being in direct contact with the environment, campers develop a greater respect and care for it.

Our conclusion is always that, by doing such simple and timeless activities in the mountains, you enjoy working as a team and being constantly surrounded by companions who encourage you to improve — thus enabling you to face your greatest personal goals and challenges.

Theme Day at the Gredos Camp

Staying in the facility for a day is no synonym for boredom. All plannings are also strategically designed so that days do not become repetitive or excessively tiring.

One of our favourite ways to spend a day at the facility is the Theme Day, which has already become a must at the majority of our camps at Natuaventura.

It consists of a full day — from the moment we wake up until we go to bed after the evening event (the night-time activity) — during which all the day’s activities are themed around a single concept.

Dressing up has never been a problem for the monitors, and campers always enjoy it with us. So who doesn’t enjoy becoming their favourite Mario Bros character or the pirate they always imitated whilst watching Pirates of the Caribbean every now and then?

Both the morning and afternoon activities tend to be challenge and teamwork games, in which both the younger and older groups join together to solve them. As you can see, it is a very special day for everyone, as we manage to have the whole camp taking part in the same activities and in the same spirit throughout the entire day.

«Masterchef» — Star Activity at the Gredos Camp

An activity we repeat every year at the Gredos Multiadventure and Mountain Camp is Masterchef. This consists of a cooking competition in which campers complete mini-games to earn as many coins as possible. Then, in groups, they can buy whichever ingredients they choose and prepare their recipe.

These are real ingredients, and there is always a monitor per group to ensure everything is carried out hygienically and with awareness of allergies and intolerances.

Once the groups have their ingredients and the corresponding utensils, cooking begins. The aim is for all campers to participate so that they feel like chefs for a day.

Young people learn about cooking whilst taking part in culinary challenges, developing useful skills and enjoying delicious creations. This past year we made homemade pizzas, which were baked and then served for dinner — it was a great success!

The Yellow Humour Circuit

Inspired by the famous television game show, the Yellow Humour Circuit is one of the most popular activities at all our camps, and the Gredos Multiadventure and Mountain Camp is no exception. With hilarious obstacles and team challenges, it is the perfect way to foster camaraderie and have a great time.

Competitiveness comes to the fore as campers face tests of agility, balance and coordination, all in an atmosphere of laughter and fun.

This circuit is not only an opportunity to have a brilliant time, but also an excellent means of developing physical and teamwork skills. Young people learn to cheer each other on and offer mutual support, strengthening bonds and building unforgettable memories along the way.
