The Gredos Multi-Adventure Camp is built on three ideas: real mountain (Sierra de Gredos, AV-941 Km 21.5, Hoyos del Collado), tent accommodation and a programme with one distinctive experience: the bivouac. This is the complete activity catalogue for the session, without embellishments — only what is recorded in the official programme.

The Bivouac: The Defining Experience
If there is one activity that sets the Gredos camp apart from the rest, it is the bivouac. One day of the stay is dedicated to leaving the camp area and setting up a proper overnight camp in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos: the group heads out with activity leaders and equipment, has dinner on the mountain and sleeps a night under the stars. For most participants it is the first night of this kind in their lives and, almost invariably, the one they remember most.
Hiking and Mountain Activities
Mountain hikes
Walks along the paths of the Sierra de Gredos, with accompanying activity leaders and planned rest stops. The backbone of the camp.
Bivouac (overnight camp)
One day of the stay is dedicated to an overnight camp in the natural environment, outside the usual camp zone.
River swimming
Swimming areas in the mountain river, with permanent supervision, integrated into the rhythm of the hottest days.
Natural pools
Rock pools and natural pools in the surrounding area, as an alternative to river swimming depending on the day and water level.
Humor Amarillo, Workshops and Evening Events
Humor Amarillo
- A full day of team games in classic Humor Amarillo style.
- Physical and balance challenges adapted to the environment.
- The most requested activity year after year.
Workshops and treasure hunts
- Creative workshops during the stay.
- Team treasure hunts integrated into the camp’s daily rhythm.
- Nightly evening events with games, music and themed parties.
How the Day Is Organised
All activities take place with four meals a day (breakfast, lunch, a snack and dinner), a covered outdoor dining area and a fixed ratio of 1 activity leader per 8 participants, with maximum groups of 40–50. Mobiles are collected on arrival and returned for calls home every 3–4 days; families receive a daily diary on social media and 20–30 euros pocket money is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions About Activities
Is the bivouac compulsory?
The bivouac is part of the camp programme and is designed as an activity for the whole group. The organisation adapts the approach to the age and characteristics of the participants, with specific activity leaders and equipment for that night.
Is there really a horse riding session?
Yes. Horse riding is one of the activities included in the programme and is organised in groups with technical supervision and age-appropriate equipment.
Where does the group swim?
In the natural pools and river swimming areas in the surroundings of Hoyos del Collado, within the Sierra de Gredos. Always with supervision and within designated areas.
Are the activities the same for the youngest participants?
The planning is shared across all groups but adapted by age. The zip line, archery, horse riding and hikes are adjusted in intensity and duration. The ratio of 1 activity leader per 8 participants facilitates this individual approach.
What happens in the evenings?
Every evening has its own event with games, music and themed parties. Mobiles — collected at the start — are returned for calls home every 3–4 days. The bivouac night follows its own programme.
