An end-of-year school trip for primary and secondary school pupils is not just a few days away: it is living an adventure that leaves a mark, that brings people together, that creates lasting memories. At Natuaventura we have been organising school trips for more than 15 years.
What is an end-of-year school trip?
It is not just any excursion or another set of holidays. It is the close of a chapter, a reward for a year’s hard work. It can come at the end of primary school, secondary school or Sixth Form. What matters: that pupils, teachers and families all feel they have shared something special.
On these trips everything adds up: the routes, the workshops, the rest time, the nights shared together. Every activity has a dual purpose: enjoyment and learning. Because when you escape routine, you truly learn.
6 reasons to organise an end-of-year school trip
🤝 Togetherness that transforms
Pupils get to know each other differently. Barriers between classmates who may not talk much are broken down, friendships deepen and pupils learn to live together with respect and empathy.
🎒 Independence and responsibility
Looking after their own kit, managing their time, respecting schedules. Pupils feel capable and return with greater self-confidence.
📚 Hands-on learning
Routes, natural spaces and cultural visits provide real learning: history, geography, science, art… all in contexts that stay with you.
🏅 Fun that builds values
Games, creativity and sport as powerful tools: camaraderie, leadership, solidarity. Fun and building character are not mutually exclusive.
⭐ Memories that last
A song on the coach, a story under the stars, a shared joke. Those small details become memories that, years later, still bring a smile.
🚀 Motivation for the group
Having a trip on the horizon encourages hard work and cooperation. That excitement improves attitude, participation and a sense of belonging throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions about end-of-year school trips
From what year group can a school trip be organised?
We organise trips from Year 1 in primary school (6–7 years). For younger pupils we recommend short stays of 2–3 days at nearby destinations. For secondary school and Sixth Form pupils, all destinations and formats are available.
How many pupils do you need as a minimum to organise the trip?
We work with groups from 20 pupils. For larger groups, we adapt the programme with parallel activities to make the most of the time available.
Can teachers come along purely as accompanying adults, without managing activities?
Yes. With 24h activity leaders, the Natuaventura team manages all activities and overnight supervision. Teachers accompany the group but can rest. Only presence during activities is required, not coordination.
How do we make a booking?
The process is straightforward: contact us, we propose destination and programme options, you receive a detailed no-obligation quote and, if you accept it, we confirm dates and places with a minimum deposit.
What happens if a pupil has allergies or special needs?
We factor these into the planning. The hostel kitchen adapts menus for allergies or intolerances communicated in advance. Activities are also adapted to the group’s special educational needs.
