If we have already covered what a technology camp is, this article goes into more detail: the four activity modules that structure the technology side of our TechnoCamp and how time is divided across the fortnight. This is not about «having screens at camp» — it is about programming, building, printing and creating with purpose.
Four modules for a fortnight
The camp’s technology activities are organised into four main blocks. Each participant goes through all of them over the course of the camp, spending approximately half a day on the technical content and combining it with classic camp activities (swimming pool, games, treasure hunts, workshops, evening activities).
1. Robotics
Programming bq-type boards, building robots with Lego and, depending on the group, assembling basic drones and mini robot competitions. This is the module that best combines hands and code.
2. Video game programming
Participants design their own video games using Scratch at beginner level, with a first introduction to Python or JavaScript for more advanced groups.
3. 3D design and printing
One of the most eagerly anticipated activities: each participant designs their own piece and takes it home printed. A direct connection between what you imagine and what physically exists.
4. Audiovisual projects
Stop-motion animation and a first introduction to virtual reality. Technology turned into a tool for storytelling and experimenting with image.
How the day is divided
Technical morning: participants work on one of the four modules in the camp’s equipped classroom, in small groups by level.
Midday and free time: lunch, supervised rest, outdoor games. Screens are switched off: bodies are on the move.
Classic camp afternoon: swimming pool, treasure hunts, non-digital workshops, sport. The part that connects with any other summer camp.
Evening programme: themed evening, no screens, with performances, cooperative games or outdoor cinema. Technology stays in the classroom.

The usual camp standards
Although the focus is on technology, everything else runs exactly as at any Natuaventura camp: 4 meals a day with in-house cooking and adapted menus, mobile phones collected on arrival and returned every 3–4 days, calls home every 3–4 days, daily social media diary, a recommended pocket money allowance of 20–30 € and an SMS on arrival. Technology is the «how», not the whole story.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to bring my own computer or equipment?
No. All technical equipment — computers, boards, kits, 3D printers, virtual reality headsets — is provided by the organisation. Participants only need to bring their usual camp kit.
What age are the participants?
The camp is designed for boys and girls aged 7 to 14, divided into groups by age and level. The technical activity is adapted to each group: Scratch for an 8-year-old is very different from JavaScript for a 13-year-old.
How much time do they spend in front of a screen?
Approximately half a day. The rest is dedicated to classic outdoor camp activities. The idea is for technology to be one tool among many, not the only one.
Does my child need prior programming knowledge?
No. Each module starts from the beginning and is adapted to the group’s level. Participants with prior experience will progress further, but the camp works equally well for those starting from scratch.
Do they take anything home?
Yes: the piece they designed and printed in 3D, the files for the video games they created and the audiovisual recordings from the stop-motion module. And, above all, the enthusiasm to keep experimenting at home.
