What types of school trip are there?

We have seen that there are many different options for school trips, but what are all the available formats?

Here is a summary:

• Supervision. The main distinction is whether the trip includes a team of activity leaders or not. Based on our experience, we always recommend travelling with a team of activity leaders, as this provides greater safety and peace of mind for families, whilst also offering a wider range of activities and entertainment than travelling without leaders. However, the option of travelling without an activity leader team does exist. In that case, the group can be accompanied by teachers or parents/guardians of the pupils. For this option, Natuaventura Ocio y Tiempo Libre organises the full activity programme, and all they need to do is get ready to enjoy themselves. Another supervision option is to travel with a tour guide, who will provide a comprehensive guided tour of the chosen destination.
• Languages. School trips present a perfect opportunity to reinforce English language learning. In addition to Spanish-language trips, there is the option of booking language immersion trips, where the team of activity leaders accompanying participants are native English speakers or bilingual, and all activities and communal life are conducted in English. In this way, a different kind of language learning is offered.
• Destination. As we have already seen, the destination largely determines the activities available. For this reason, we offer schools and colleges the widest possible range of destinations, so that they can choose the option that best suits them. Beach, mountain, city…
