Activities Within the Albergue Sierra Norte

Climbing

Carried out on the Albergue Sierra Norte’s own climbing wall, within the site. Qualified activity leaders, harness and helmet. Groups rotate through the activity throughout the session.

Archery

Dedicated archery area within the hostel with all safety measures in place. Activity leaders guide the activity by group and age.

Zip Line

The site has its own zip line, integrated into the multi-adventure zone of the Albergue Sierra Norte, with specialist activity leaders.

Football Pitch and Stage

Outdoor spaces within the hostel for team games and for the evening activities on stage.

Water Activities and Excursions

Manjirón Municipal Swimming Pool

  • Located 200 metres from the hostel.
  • Almost daily visits during the camp.

Natural Pools of the Río Sequillo

  • Excursion to one of the largest natural bathing areas in Madrid.

Big Days Out

Humor Amarillo: a full day dedicated to an inflatable circuit and giant constructions set up in the hostel’s green areas. Teams rotate through each attraction — one of the most popular activities year after year.

Parque Warner Madrid excursion: a full day out at one of the most popular theme parks in the Community of Madrid. Rides, shows and iconic characters.

Atazar Reservoir excursion: a nature day exploring one of the most characteristic water environments of the Sierra Norte de Madrid.

Río Sequillo natural pools day: a day of swimming and games at the natural pools, with time for group activities in the adjacent green areas.

Creative activities designed to complement the technical programme. Painting, crafts and group projects.

Team games throughout the session, with challenges and tasks around the hostel grounds and the streets of Manjirón village.

Day’s end after dark, with activity leaders in costume, music, group games and themed performances.

Community Life

The quiet streets of Manjirón itself become part of the camp during the major activity days.

How the Day Is Organised

Structure

  • Groups divided by age (6–17 years).
  • 1 activity leader per 8 participants.
  • Maximum 40–50 campers per group.
  • Rotation through the different activities throughout the session.

Meals

  • 4 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner).
  • Camp’s own kitchen on site.
  • Home-cooked food with fresh ingredients.
  • Menus adapted for allergies and intolerances.

Are all activities included in the camp price?

Yes. Climbing, archery, zip line, Humor Amarillo, excursions to Parque Warner, the Atazar Reservoir and the Río Sequillo natural pools, workshops, games and evening activities are all part of the programme and included in the session price.

Which activities take place within the hostel itself?

The Albergue Sierra Norte has its own climbing wall, zip line, archery area, football pitch and stage. This allows many technical activities to take place without transfers, within the site.

How is safety ensured during technical activities?

Technical activities are carried out with qualified activity leaders in each discipline, approved equipment and safety protocols. The ratio is 1 activity leader per 8 participants.

What do you need to bring for excursions?

For pool days and the Río Sequillo: swimsuit, towel and sun cream. For mountain hikes: comfortable sports footwear, a cap and water. The organisation provides the full kit list in the practical camp information.

What happens if it rains one day?

The programme includes indoor alternative activities designed for bad weather: workshops, indoor games and group activities. Excursions are rescheduled within the session so that no standout activity is missed.
