Multiadventure Activities at the Piedralaves Camp
The multiadventure and mountain activities are the essence of the Piedralaves camp. Here, young people can immerse themselves in a variety of challenges, from climbing and zip lines to orienteering and survival skills. These activities are not only exciting, but also foster skills such as teamwork and problem-solving.
It is worth noting that safety is a priority, and each activity is supervised by qualified professionals, ensuring that fun always goes hand in hand with care and protection.
Furthermore, these multiadventure activities are designed to adapt to different ability levels, ensuring that every camper, regardless of their previous experience, can enjoy and learn. This inclusive approach allows all participants to push their limits, boost their confidence and take away unforgettable memories of their achievements.
Among these activities we can highlight:
ROPES COURSE
Compared to previous years when we visited the Pinos Cimeros ropes course in Barco de Ávila, this year we will continue to enjoy it and its zip lines but this time at a ropes park closer to Piedralaves. The location changes but the fun does not.

ARCHERY
It is one of the simplest yet most difficult activities at the same time, and one that campers love year after year. Every summer they try to improve with each shot at the target.

CLIMBING
At the former Barco de Ávila facility the hostel itself included a climbing wall where we practised climbing on scheduled days.
The current Piedralaves facility does not include a climbing wall; however, we will endeavour to practise it in the surrounding area near the facility.

GYMKHANAS
As a complement to all these activities, the camp runs numerous themed gymkhanas, cooperative games, sports tournaments, workshops and evening activities.
Furthermore, gymkhanas can never be missing from a multiadventure mountain camp, as they include all the best of both worlds: physical and mental challenges developed in an incredible setting that we adapt and make the most of so that activities are as fun as possible.
At our camp the highlights include:
- Themed day: This consists of a day from the moment we wake up until we go to bed after the evening activity (the night-time event), in which all the day’s activities are themed around a single theme, immersing the campers in a completely new and different environment from the rest of the days.

- Holi Life: The famous coloured powder race. We, rather than holding a race, create several circuits and challenges that campers must complete before facing a final battle between groups that consists of throwing the powder at each other.

- Bodypainting: We usually combine this with Holi Life, and it is an activity in which we all bring out the artist within, making the most of the chance to look as colourful as possible.

- Masterchef: We become chefs for a day and create our own recipes after completing various challenges to obtain ingredients.

- El Humor Amarillo: The facility is transformed for a day into an inflatable park full of games. Already famous across all our summer camps at Natuaventura.
The Humor Amarillo Circuit
Inspired by the famous television game show, the Humor Amarillo circuit is one of the most popular activities across all our camps, and the Aventura Piedralaves Camp is no exception. With hilarious obstacles and team challenges, it is the perfect way to foster camaraderie and have a great time.
Competitiveness comes to the fore as campers face agility, balance and coordination challenges, all in an atmosphere of laughter and fun.
This circuit is not just an opportunity to have fun — it is also an excellent means of developing physical and teamwork skills. Young people learn to cheer each other on and support one another, strengthening bonds and building unforgettable memories along the way.
Natural Pools of the Sierra de Gredos
After a day of hiking, what better way to relax than in the natural pools of Gredos? These oases of tranquillity are the perfect place to cool off and enjoy nature in its purest state. Campers can swim, relax and socialise in a serene setting, surrounded by the impressive landscape of the Sierra de Gredos.
Moreover, in the Tiétar Valley it is very easy to find a spot for a refreshing dip thanks to the tributaries of the Tagus and the sierra itself. One of its most famous pools is the Charca de la Nieta, fed by the Garganta Nuño Cojo river.
These pools are not just places for relaxation — they are also open-air classrooms where ecology and the environment are explored. Young people discover the importance of preserving natural ecosystems whilst enjoying their crystal-clear and cool waters, an educational and refreshing experience.

Mountain Activities in the Tiétar Valley and Their Benefits
The Sierra de Gredos is famous for its impressive mountain landscape. Mountain activities such as hiking, routes and climbing offer campers a unique way to connect with nature and challenge themselves. These mountain activities are not only exciting and full of adventure, but also foster an appreciation of the natural surroundings and respect for the environment.
Hiking in particular is a star activity at the camp, offering routes of different difficulty levels that allow campers to explore the beauty and diversity of the Gredos and Tiétar Valley landscape. Young people learn about local flora and fauna, as well as orienteering and mountain survival techniques.
ROUTES AND BIVOUAC
One advantage of moving our location from Barco de Ávila to Piedralaves is that we have thousands of new routes to discover. We will also look for a great route with the best views of the stars where we can do a very special BIVOUAC (sleeping with only a sleeping mat and sleeping bag).
Wherever we can go on foot, we will go on foot. By doing something as simple as walking, friendships are forged, values are built and we overcome our own limits. There is no better way to live the experience to the full!

Benefits of Mountain Activities
