Multiadventure Activities at the Navatormes Camp

At the heart of every multiadventure camp are its endless activities — ones that take us out of our comfort zone and have us facing fears and challenges we never thought we could overcome, all whilst having a fantastic time.

From archery, which tests precision and concentration, to exhilarating zip-lines crossing breathtaking landscapes, every activity is designed to push boundaries and foster personal growth and self-improvement.

We love watching children and teenagers gradually build confidence in themselves and adapt to a routine that at first seems overwhelming — with so many activities and so much excitement every day. It seems inconceivable that so many things can be done in a fortnight, which is why we make the most of every day and fill them with endless excursions.

For this reason, those of us who love and work in camps understand that these days are among the most exciting and eagerly awaited — both for the campers and for us.

The Navatormes camp is a sanctuary of adventures, where young explorers can immerse themselves in a wide variety of multiadventure activities. The activities that never fail are:

  • Archery: Sharpen your aim and awaken the archer within in a thrilling archery session!
  • Horse riding: Feel the freedom and connection with nature on a magical horse ride through dreamlike landscapes with your friends and fellow campers.
  • Ropes garden: An adventure that will take you to new heights — one you will definitely remember the next day, both for how much fun it was and for the aching muscles it leaves behind!
  • Gymkhanas: Excitement and team spirit in the famous and time-honoured gymkhanas — original, inclusive, unpredictable, and never disappointing year after year.

Natural Pools of the Sierra de Gredos

The natural pools of the Sierra de Gredos are true hidden gems, offering campers an oasis of coolness and tranquillity.

These natural wonders are the perfect place to relax after a day of physical activities. Here, young people can enjoy swimming in pure and crystal-clear water, surrounded by a serene and majestic landscape.

These moments of tranquillity in nature not only give us a sense of relaxation but also provide an opportunity for introspection and connection — with the natural environment and with the people around us.

They are ideal for setting out on a hike to reach them and ending the day in what feels like a truly unforgettable summer moment. For many, sun, water and friends are all you need to be happy.

POZO DE LAS PAREDES

During the camp we visit several pools; however, the undisputed favourite is the natural pool at Pozo de las Paredes — a large pool covered by a Roman bridge that takes its name from the optical effect produced by the water reflecting off the stone.

Moreover, for older campers, we take the opportunity to do VIVAC (sleeping with nothing but a sleeping mat and sleeping bag) in the area around these pools. After a day of walking, sun and heat, several dips in the cool water, campers and monitors have dinner and sleep under the clear, open sky of the Sierra de Gredos, where the stars shine in all their glory.

This day is one of the most special of all — not just of the camp, but of the entire year. Pure values and connection — with nature, with oneself and with friends.

Mountain Activities at the Navatormes English Camp

The mountain activities at the Navatormes Camp focus not only on physical adventure but also on the personal development of the campers, both physically and mentally.

The hikes, explorations and routes through the Sierra de Gredos reveal the natural beauty of the mountain region and offer valuable lessons about environmental conservation. Campers in the natural environment reflect on their experiences from the day, strengthen bonds of friendship and prepare themselves for the adventures ahead.

Navatormes English Camp is very much focused on trying to reach every destination on foot, because the journey is itself an activity and an experience. That is why we have always placed so much importance on it. Moreover, at this camp — which is 100% in English — there is no better time to learn than by talking, talking and talking, which comes naturally during long walks.

Our conclusion is always the same: by doing activities as simple and time-honoured as mountain walks, you enjoy working as a team and being constantly surrounded by companions who encourage you to improve — ultimately helping you face your greatest personal goals and challenges.

The Yellow Humour Circuit

Inspired by the famous television game show, the Yellow Humour circuit is one of the most popular activities at all our camps, and the Navatormes Nature Multiadventure English Summer Camp is no exception. With hilarious obstacles and team challenges, it is the perfect way to foster camaraderie and, above all, have a brilliant time.

Competitive spirit comes to the fore as campers tackle tests of agility, balance and coordination — all in an atmosphere of laughter and fun.

This circuit is not only an opportunity to have a great time; it is also an excellent means of developing physical skills and teamwork, whilst enjoying a healthy competitive spirit. Young people learn to cheer each other on and offer mutual support, strengthening bonds and building unforgettable memories along the way.

Themed Day at the Nature Multiadventure English Camp

Spending a day at the venue does not mean boredom. All the programmes are also planned strategically so that the days do not become repetitive or overly tiring.

One of our favourite ways to enjoy a day at the venue is the Themed Day, which has become a staple at most of our camps at Natuaventura. It is a celebration of creativity and fun.

It consists of a day from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep after the evening show (the night-time activity), in which all the day’s activities are built around a single theme, immersing campers in an environment that is completely new and different from the rest of the days.

Getting into costume has never been a problem for the monitors, and campers always enjoy it alongside us. So who would not enjoy becoming their favourite Mario Bros character or the pirate they always imitated watching Pirates of the Caribbean?

Both the morning and afternoon activities tend to be games of challenges and teamwork, in which the younger, middle and older groups come together to solve them. As you can see, it is a very special day for everyone, as we manage to have the whole camp taking part in the same activities and in the same spirit throughout the entire day. It never fails!

Holi Life – Colour Battle

The Holi Life celebration at the camp is a spectacular event, full of colour and joy. Inspired by the famous colour powder race, this activity is an explosion of fun and camaraderie.

The campers, divided into teams, compete in a series of mini-challenges that they must complete in order to win the greatest amount of colour powder.

At the end of the activities, the powder won is distributed and the final battle begins — the team that ends up least covered wins. Campers throw colour powder into the air and over their friends, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity.

In the end it is impossible to identify the winner, as everyone ends up covered in colour. However, that is not really the point, since what we love most about this activity are the laughs and the famous photos that follow.

Not to mention that the powder washes off perfectly with water and everything is tidied away just as it was before. The odd white t-shirt might pick up a tint — but it serves as a lasting memento!

English at Our Nature Multiadventure Camp

Whilst campers go hiking or take part in outdoor games, they also practise their English in real and dynamic situations. This integrated approach ensures that language learning is just as exciting as the adventure activities.

What does Total Immersion in English mean? Who makes up the monitor team?

It used to be more common to see English taught at camps and leisure venues in general through a couple of hours of lessons or more delivered by a teacher.

For some time now, camps have been changing, and Natuaventura has wanted to take a fresh approach to learning English. From this came the concept of total immersion — meaning that the camp is 100% in English, covering both activities and the everyday situations of daily life.

Furthermore, we like to include — and consider it essential — native speakers in the monitor team. Campers who want to speak with them will always have to do so in English. The remaining monitors will know Spanish but will be graduates and hold an official language qualification.

Through total immersion, campers develop their language skills in a natural and enjoyable environment. Daily activities — whether outdoor adventures or interactive group sessions — are designed to encourage the use of English in a practical context.

This approach allows young people to improve their fluency and confidence in speaking, listening to and using English, preparing them for a language they will need throughout their lives and on their great adventures around the world.
