The Organisation of the English-Language Multiadventure and Nature Summer Camp

We present our English-language Multiadventure and Mountain Summer Camp in Ávila, in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos. We run our full activity programme 100% in English, with monitors who are qualified in the language and native speakers. With a packed schedule to enjoy every minute — in a privileged natural setting — English becomes a game!

The camp runs in English and takes place from 2 to 14 July and from 17 to 29 July. Boys and girls from all over Spain take part, aged between 7 and 17 years old.

Day-to-day life is organised in three age groups: juniors, middles and seniors; with one monitor for every 8 participants. For ages on the borderline between groups, participants are distributed according to their preferences or the friends they wish to be with. In the tents, we divide again to sleep with participants of similar ages, with boys and girls separately.

JUNIORS // 7–10 YEARS

  • We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor for every 8 campers.
  • Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain close and constant contact with their campers.
  • As well as having fun, we will learn to be more independent in our daily tasks — such as organising our belongings, choosing our clothes, keeping ourselves clean, and so on.

MIDDLES // 11–13 YEARS

  • We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor for every 8 campers.
  • Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain close and constant contact with their campers.
  • We are already more independent, but they will continue to help us every day. Games are adapted to the age of the participants.

SENIORS // 14–17 YEARS

  • We work with a maximum ratio of 1 monitor for every 8 campers.
  • Each tent has an assigned monitor who will maintain close and constant contact with their campers, while allowing them more space.
  • Games and activities designed so that they continue to enjoy the camp to the fullest — but with more space and time to spend with friends. We help to organise some activities.

The Camp Facilities: Navatormes Campsite

We stay in Navarredonda de Gredos, in a municipal facility that is more than suitable for the development of our activities. We also sleep in tents, in a perfect location with an unrivalled setting.

The facility is set in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, surrounded by vast woodland, and offers an idyllic environment for nature-based activities — making full use of the River Tormes, which runs alongside the campsite, and the natural swimming pools.

The facility comprises 3 buildings: the bathrooms with separate male and female toilets and individual showers; the covered dining room, which also serves as a multipurpose room; and the equipment room for monitors, which includes the kitchen where home-cooked meals are prepared. Not to mention the large grounds where we set up the tents and carry out thousands of activities.

We complement what the facility offers with all the equipment needed for activities and leisure, support vehicles, a first-aid kit, and emergency and organisation phones for contacting families.

Multiadventure in Navatormes: Activities and Learning

The English-language Multiadventure Nature Summer Camp in Navatormes combines this vision of immersion in nature with one of the most comprehensive activity programmes we offer.

A genuine adventure in nature, with exciting activities such as mountain hikes, climbing, a rope park, Humor Amarillo, river and natural pool swimming, and much more.

NATURAL SWIMMING POOLS

One of the most fun and special activities to cool off in the Sierra de Gredos is taking a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pools of the River Tormes, which runs alongside the campsite.

Not to mention one of the camp’s favourite activities — the route to the Pozo de las Paredes, natural swimming pools where we do a BIVOUAC (sleeping with just a mat and sleeping bag; this will also depend on the age of the campers) and where we can swim all afternoon long.

ARCHERY

A hugely fun activity through which, as well as feeling like true archers, we develop concentration, balance and patience in the younger participants.

HORSE RIDING

An activity to enjoy nature in a different and truly special way. Horse riding allows us to connect with the animal world and learn new values.

ROPE PARK

We head out on an excursion to a rope park amongst the trees, where we will put our skills to the test on zip wires, parallel ropes, and more.

HUMOR AMARILLO

A host of mini-games in the style of the legendary TV show. An activity to develop agility and coordination, and to have fun with our new friends.

This activity is already a tradition at all our Natuaventura camps, but we are sure that at Navatormes English Camp it is without doubt one of the favourites.

MOUNTAIN HIKES

The Sierra de Gredos offers us incredible forest and mountain scenery, with magical places that we will explore on our excursions.

WORKSHOPS

As well as having fun, we will put our creative skills to use through the various workshops we do each day. Natuaventura’s workshops are also tailored for different age groups.

GAMES AND GYMKHANAS

Every day we can enjoy a host of games and activities that foster skills and values such as camaraderie, teamwork and respect — but above all, they are just enormous fun.

We combine gymkhana days with survival games, skill challenges, and even classic games, always giving them a fresh twist to make them more inclusive and well-rounded.

One way to make days more dynamic — and it never fails — is to give them a theme. Monitors and even campers dress up to live the activities to the fullest.

PARTIES AND EVENING EVENTS

Before heading to bed we bid farewell to each day with a host of activities under the stars, burning off whatever energy we still have left at the end of the day.

TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE AT THE CAMP

Before the camp begins, the coordinators and monitors plan the day-to-day programme. However, the schedule may change due to external factors such as weather conditions or decisions made on the spot.

How to Prepare for a Multiadventure Nature Camp

Preparing for an adventure camp in the middle of the mountains and countryside involves both the right equipment and the right mindset.

In terms of kit and equipment, it is essential to bring:

  • Food for the journey.
  • A soft-sided suitcase, sports bag, or large rucksack for your luggage.
  • A rucksack for excursions. 40 litres is recommended. Larger is fine too.
  • A winter sleeping bag (recommended temperature rating of 5°C) and an insulating sleeping mat.
  • A variety of comfortable clothing.
  • A cap and sun cream.
  • A waterproof cagoule or jacket.
  • A shower towel.
  • A swimming towel.
  • A wash bag with shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc.
  • 2 pairs of trainers or lightweight boots.
  • Flip-flops and/or water shoes.
  • A water bottle.
  • A torch and batteries.
  • A plate, cutlery, camping cup and a cloth for drying dishes.
  • Bags for storing dirty laundry.
  • Health insurance card.

Mentally, come ready to learn, work as a team, and face challenges without prejudice and with a positive attitude. Remember that the adventure is as much about enjoying nature as it is about personal growth.

Proper preparation ensures a safe and enriching experience. Pushing yourself beyond your limits always makes the whole experience an unforgettable and deeply rewarding one.

It is also worth noting that the safety and well-being of every camper are our top priorities at our camps. We have highly qualified staff and strict safety protocols to ensure that every adventure is safe and enjoyable.

Furthermore, our team of professionals is available 24 hours a day to address any need or concern, ensuring that every participant has a positive and enriching experience.
