Natuaventura English Camps: 2 Proposals with 100% Immersion

The English camp is the format that most children want to repeat once they have tried it. 100% immersion, activity leaders at C1 level or above, bilingual or native, and a programme identical to the classic multi-adventure camp — with all the activities, games and evening events — but with English as the language of instruction. At Natuaventura we offer two options that suit different profiles: Sierra Madrid English Camp and Navatormes English Camp.

Natuaventura’s English offering

Both proposals share the same philosophy: learning English by living it, not studying it. There are no classroom lessons. There is climbing in English, archery in English, gymkhanas, Cluedo, Trivial Contest, Scavenger Hunt and evening events in English. The entire team of activity leaders holds C1 or above; a significant proportion are bilingual or native speakers. Participants leave with the confidence to speak — the psychological barrier broken — more than with memorised vocabulary.

Frequently asked questions

What level of English is needed to enrol?

No minimum level is required. Activity leaders adapt vocabulary and pace to each age group. The aim is not to pass an exam but to overcome the fear of speaking and to build listening comprehension. Both a child who is just starting out and one who already has a good level will find their place.

Is everything really in English?

Yes, during activities, mealtimes and evening events. Activity leaders hold C1 or above; a number are bilingual or native. In sensitive moments (a homesick child, a medical emergency), the priority is clear communication with the family and participant, in whichever language is needed.

Can I enrol a 6-year-old?

Yes at Sierra Madrid English Camp (minimum age 6). At Navatormes the minimum age is 7. In both cases groups are formed by age range, so a young child is with peers of the same maturity level.

What makes an English immersion camp different from an intensive English course?

An intensive course concentrates classroom hours. An immersion camp turns every everyday activity — having breakfast, climbing, playing Humor Amarillo — into a situation in English. What is learnt is functional: asking, playing, expressing emotions, making friends. And it sticks better because it is tied to real experience.

What are the departure and return arrangements?

For both camps there is a coach from Madrid (Civitas Metropolitano, Avda. Luis Aragonés n.4) at 10:00 and from Las Rozas (Travesía de Navalcarbón, fairground car park) at 11:00. The camp arrival time is 13:30 and the return follows the reverse route.
