Facilities

Municipal facility with Tipi zone

The Navatormes facilities are 5 minutes from our Navarredonda camp. It is a municipal facility created to host summer camps, so we have a complex that offers us all the necessary amenities to carry out the activities.

The facility is set in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, surrounded by huge groves of trees, and offers an idyllic setting for activities in nature, making full use of the River Tormes, which runs alongside the camp, and the natural pools.

The facility includes 3 buildings: the bathrooms with separate male and female toilets and individual showers; the covered dining room that also serves as a multipurpose hall; and the equipment room for monitors, which includes the kitchen where home-cooked meals are prepared. Not to mention a large plot where we set up the tipis with bunk beds for sleeping and where we carry out thousands of activities.

We complement what the facility offers with all the equipment needed for activities and leisure, support vehicles, a first-aid kit, and emergency and organisational phone contacts for families.

Location and transport

Camp Location

Our English camp at Navatormes is located in Navarredonda de Gredos, in a municipal facility more than suitable for our activities. A privileged natural setting, surrounded by impressive mountains and green landscapes, ideal for practising a variety of outdoor sports and activities that invite adventure and discovery.

The facility is set in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, surrounded by huge groves of trees, offering an idyllic setting for activities in nature, making full use of the River Tormes, which runs alongside the camp, and the natural pools.

This location is no coincidence; it was carefully chosen to offer a unique camp experience, where nature plays a crucial role in the development of activities. The proximity to crystal-clear rivers and mountain paths allows campers to explore the beauty of the surroundings while taking part in exciting activities.

Frequently asked questions

We have nearby health centres, as well as an assistance service provided by our insurance, to respond to any emergency.

We work with a team that has one monitor for every 8 participants. We also have additional organisational staff, such as the camp coordinator and other support personnel. The monitor team and coordinator live on-site and keep watch over the children 24 hours a day.

At all our camps we have a kitchen team on-site. We prepare a balanced menu adapted to each day’s activities. We always provide 4 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and dinner. If your child has any food allergy, don’t worry — they will have an adapted menu as similar as possible to what the other children are eating. If during the camp your child tells you they are not satisfied with the food, PLEASE LET US KNOW — it is a priority for us and once we know we will resolve it immediately.

There is no laundry service, but if a child runs out of clean clothes we will help them and wash whatever they need. On the equipment list we ask for a varied selection of clothing to cover all the days of camp.

If your child needs to take any medication, their cabin/room monitor will keep it safe and give it to them at each scheduled dose. Children do not need to bring a first-aid kit; if they need any other medicine we will arrange it, either after a doctor’s visit or after speaking with you if it is something minor.

Each child must bring their health card/photocopy, which we will collect when they arrive at camp. The camp includes accident insurance, but we will use the health card if a visit to the doctor is needed due to a common illness.

Yes, it is an optional service. We have transport from Madrid and Las Rozas.

Yes, they can bring a mobile phone but they will not have it on them day to day. We will give them the phone so they can call home every 3–4 days. These calls can be made with their own phone or with phones we lend them. It is not necessary to bring a mobile phone. You can also contact us at any time on the emergency number. You will always be informed if there is any incident.

The camp is all-inclusive but they can bring a small amount of pocket money to buy a soft drink or snacks on excursions.

Every day the campers have periods of free time to enjoy the camp in their own way and spend time with their friends. After lunch and before dinner they will have this time. During that period, monitors remain on site and we have optional activities such as sports games.

At Navatormes English Camp we have tipis with 6 to 8 spaces. We organise the sleeping arrangements by talking with the children themselves on the first day, after playing games so they get to know each other. We manage this so they are with other campers of similar ages and can be with their friends if they came together. If they don’t know anyone, don’t worry — we take care of that. The tipis are not mixed; boys and girls sleep separately.

We do not have a scheduled parents’ day at camp, but if you would like to visit your child please contact us. At the end of the camp, the child can be collected by their father or mother, or by a person you designate and authorise in writing before pick-up.
