We have a health centre in Talayuelas, 10 km from the facility, and a general hospital in Requena, 40 minutes away, as well as an assistance service provided by our insurers to respond to any emergency.
We work with a team of one monitor for every 8 participants. We also have additional organisational staff, such as the camp coordinator and other support personnel. The team of monitors and the coordinator live at the facility and are watching over the children 24 hours a day.
At all our camps we have a kitchen team on site. We prepare a balanced menu adapted to the activities of each day. We always serve 4 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. If your child has any food allergy, don’t worry — they will have an adapted menu as similar as possible to what the other children are eating. If during the camp your child tells you they are not happy with the food, PLEASE LET US KNOW — it is a priority for us and if we are informed we will resolve it immediately.
There is no laundry service, but if a child runs out of clean clothes we will help them and wash whatever they need. In the kit list we ask for a good variety of clothing to cover all the days of camp.
If your child needs to take any medication, their cabin/room monitor will be responsible for keeping it safe and giving it to them at each dose you have specified. Children do not need to bring a first-aid kit; if they need any other medicine we will take care of obtaining it for them, after a doctor’s visit or after speaking with you if it is something minor.
Each child must bring their health insurance card, which we will collect on arrival at the camp. The camp includes accident insurance, but we will use the card if they need to see a doctor for a common illness.
Yes, it is an optional service. We offer transport from Madrid and Las Rozas.
Yes, they can bring a mobile phone, but they will not have it with them day to day. We will give them the phone so they can call home every 3–4 days. These calls can be made with their own phone or with phones we will lend them. It is not necessary to bring a mobile phone. You will also be able to contact us at any time on the emergency number. You will always be informed if there is any incident.
The camp is all-inclusive, but they can bring a small amount of pocket money to buy a soft drink or snacks during excursions.
Each day the campers have periods of free time to enjoy the camp in their own way and spend time with their friends. After lunch and before dinner they will have this time. During this time the monitors remain attentive to the camp and we offer optional activities such as sports games.
In Cuenca we have cabins with 6 to 14 places and rooms with 4 to 12 places. We organise the cabins by talking with the children themselves on the first day, after organising games so they can get to know each other. We manage it so that they are with other campers of similar ages and can be with their friends if they came together. If they don’t know anyone, don’t worry — we will take care of it. The cabins/rooms are not mixed; boys and girls sleep separately.
In 2023, just call us to arrange the visit. On the way home, the child can be collected by their parent or a person designated by you and authorised in writing before pick-up.
