Multiadventure Camp in Madrid.

This camp was born from the desire to offer and discover that Madrid has potential as a tourist and leisure destination beyond the urban. To this end, the participants of this camp stay at the Sierra Norte hostel, located in the village of Manjirón, right in the Sierra de Guadarrama.

The Madrid multiadventure camp has all the advantages and conveniences offered by a hostel facility. Also the closeness that this location provides to the natural settings where multiadventure and active tourism activities take place. Dynamism and fun are the hallmarks of this summer camp, one of the fastest to fill its places.

One of the main objectives of the Madrid multiadventure camp, making the most of the camp’s own nature, is to foster a strong sense of togetherness and camaraderie. This is possible not only through the activities carried out throughout the camp, but also through the dynamics encouraged by the monitor team and the group coming together in a space as complete as the Sierra Norte hostel.

Facilities

Sierra Norte Hostel – Bunk-bed cabins

We stay at the Sierra Norte Hostel, in Manjirón. Renovated in 2013, the facilities offer a unique setting for summer camps, with 20,000 square metres of tree-lined and fenced grounds, full of green areas and play spaces.

We sleep in wooden cabins with bunk beds accommodating 6 or more people, with separate boys’ and girls’ bathrooms with individual showers, a kitchen, an indoor dining room and an outdoor dining room. Likewise, the hostel offers everything needed for fun, multiadventure and leisure: climbing wall, zip line, archery, football pitch, large play and recreation areas, stage, swimming pool 200 metres away…

We complement everything the Sierra Norte hostel provides with all the equipment needed for our activities, support vehicles, sports and leisure equipment, an emergency phone, and organisation phones to call home.

Location and transport

Camp Location

The camp takes place in the Sierra de Madrid, specifically in the village of Manjirón. This small locality belongs to the municipality of Puentes Viejas, located in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Both its proximity to an incomparable natural space and the tranquillity of the area make it a perfect centre for running camps and enjoying a new way of having fun in the summer.

The camp’s location also stands out for its closeness to the village of Buitrago de Lozoya, a reference point for the entire north of Madrid due to its tourist and heritage interest. In the natural surroundings, the Riosequillo pools and the Atazar and Villar reservoirs also stand out, where some of the camp’s excursions and activities take place — what better way to discover the corners that nature has to offer in the Community of Madrid?

Frequently asked questions

We have a nearby health centre, as well as an assistance service provided by our insurance, to respond to any emergency.

We work with a team that has one monitor for every 8 participants. We also have extra organisational staff, such as the camp coordinator and other support personnel. The monitor team and the coordinator live at the facility and are on hand for the children 24 hours a day.

In all our camps we have a kitchen team at the camp itself. We prepare a balanced menu adapted to the activities of each day. We always serve 4 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner. If your child has any food allergy, don’t worry — they will have an adapted menu as similar as possible to what the other children eat. If during the camp your child tells you they are not happy with the food, PLEASE LET US KNOW — it is a priority for us and if we are informed we will resolve it immediately.

There is no laundry service, but if a child runs out of clean clothes we will help and wash whatever they need. In the equipment list we ask for a variety of clothing for every day of camp.

If your child needs to take any medication, their cabin/room monitor will be responsible for keeping it and giving it to them at each dose you have indicated. Children do not need to bring a first-aid kit; if they need any other medicine we will provide it after a visit to the doctor or after speaking with you if it is something minor.

Each child must bring their health card/photocopy and we will collect it upon arrival at the camp. The camp includes accident insurance but we will use the card if a visit to the doctor is needed for a common illness.

Yes, it is an optional service. We have transport from Madrid and Las Rozas.

Yes, they can bring a mobile phone but they will not have it on them day to day. We will give them their phone to call home every 3–4 days. These calls can be made with their own phone or with phones we will lend them. It is not necessary to bring a mobile phone. You can also contact us at any time on the emergency phone. You will always be informed if there is any incident.

The camp is all-inclusive but they can bring a small amount of pocket money to buy a soft drink or snacks on excursions.

Every day campers have free time to enjoy the camp in their own way and spend time with their friends. After lunch and before dinner they will have that time. During that time the monitors are still watching over the camp and we have optional activities such as sports games.

We have wooden cabins accommodating 6 to 14 people. We organise the rooms by talking with the children themselves on the first day after organising games so they can get to know each other. We manage it so they are with other campers of similar ages and can be with their friends if they came together. If they don’t know anyone, don’t worry — we take care of it. The cabins are not mixed; boys and girls sleep separately.

We do not have a planned parents’ day at the camp, but if you want to visit your child please contact us. On the return home, the child can be picked up by their father or mother, or by a person designated by you and authorised in writing before the pick-up.
